This kiln is just a few traces of the mound in which it was built and the top of the tunnel leading to the draw chamber.

John Morgan Jones visited this kiln on 15th February 1976. Whilst it was already in an advanced state of collapse he was able to obtain a couple of photos. He notes that one unusual feature in the chamber was the iron grille covering one of the raking holes above the chute. This was to prevent unburnt chalk from falling through into the chamber. These raking holes were fairly common in East Anglian lime kilns because the raw material was chalk which, unlike limestone, was quite likely to clog in the kiln.
